So one of my favorite creating apps was not working on my tablet and my mom suggested I should write a formal letter to the company and see if they would respond. I formatted my letter just like I've been learning in Language Arts and I then mom helped me research on the internet who to send it to. We finally found out that app, Sandbox, was made by Pixowl Inc. Just about 10 days after I sent my letter I got one in return from the Co-Founder and Producer of the App! He even sent some stickers and fun stuff. It was cool to get an actual response from a producer of an app! Here's what he said, he wrote it in pen, but I'm just going to type it here.
Dear Avonleah Betts,
We have received your letter on April 22, 2014 and are impressed by your writing! My name is Sebastien Borget, I am co-founder at Pixowl and also game producer on the Sandboc.
I was really pleased that you took the time to write us on how much you like our game and thank you for that! You will find with this letter a few gifts, that we hope will make you happy!
Did you try to reinstall the game on you Asus Memo tablet? we tested internally, it should run on Android 6.3. For faster support, please email me at seb@pixowl.com and I will do my best to help! We wish you can play again soon!
Yours Sincerely, Sebastian Borget

Books I've read lately that are really awesome
I've read lots and lots of amazing books lately, here's a few I recommend:
- Atlantis Rises by T. A. Barron - Full of action, adventure and mystery
- The Work and the Glory by Gerald Lund - #1-#4 (I still have 5 to finish in this series)Fun historical fiction/nonfiction, it is a fun way to learn about Church History
- Calvin & Hobbes: The Complete Collection by Bill Watterson - These are the funniest cartoon books ever, Calvin is ridiculous
- Spirit Animals Book 1: Born Wild by Brandon Mull - I love the idea of having a bond with a spirit animal that you must discover, I think if I had a spirit animal it would be a jaguar
- Seven Wonders Book 1: Colossus Rises by Peter Larangis - kind of like Percy Jackson and Indiana Jones mixed together!
- The Heroes of Olympus: Books 1-3 by Rick Riordan - the Greek and Roman Demigods have to work together to defeat the giants released by Mother Earth. I love Greek and Roman mythology
- The Penderwicks Book 1 - by Jeanne Birdsall- summertime magic, a tame rabbit and a treasure filled attic make this a fun book to read
- Tattoo of Death : Choose Your own Adventure by R.A. Montgomery - I love choose your own adventure books because you get to choose your own fate and if you make a wrong choice you can go back and alter the course of the entire story.
Chapter 2 (well the start of chapter 2)
There were some shells on the beach, and I love to collect shells, so I picked one up. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain the hand that was holding the shell! I looked at hermit-crab like creature with nine, no 10 eyes! He was purple with green stripes, and that was sort of weird, so I put it down. Besides, it pinched me! I decided to explore my little island a bit, and when I peered behind a palm tree, I saw the most repulsive creature ever. It had the head of a black beetle, but the body was a man's body! I froze. It had seen me! What was I going to do?

Chapter 1 of my Novel!
This is the story I'm writing because I want to send it to an editor and if he/she likes it then they will publish it and I could get $21,000. I learned this from Roald Dahl's book's "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More" in the chapter "Lucky Break-How I Became a Writer." This is just my rough draft of the first chapter.
Oh! Sorry! My name is Lucy, I just wanted to share with you my very true, very amazing story. I'm 52 years old now but this story happened when I was 23. I'm a baker of fine wedding cakes and everyone comes to me to because I'm known for having the best tasting wedding cakes ever. Now, back to the story. I chose to make the family soap recipe because it made beautiful golden colored soap that would match my golden tub. The recipe is kind of a secret but I'll tell you a few ingredients. First, I make a basic soap recipe then I added 2 cups of vinegar and a secret ingredient that when combined with all the other ingredients turns the soap into a golden soft soap.
After making the soap, I climbed into the bathtub. I filled it up all the way past my belly button and added lots of bubbles and settled in for a relaxing afternoon. For about five minutes I relaxed, then I got the soap and smothered it all over myself. It was soft and the golden soap sent sort of a tingle all over my body. Suddenly, I slipped, and my head went the under! Luckily I was a pretty good swimmer. I doggy-paddled to the surface. But . . .where was I? You can't doggy-paddle in a bathtub! I looked around and noticed that the once bubbly, clear water was now green and foamy, and when I looked up I saw a yellow sky instead of my bathroom light fixture. The clouds were pink and fluffy like delicious cotton candy, and . . .wait! Was that an island?! I peered to the west and noticed a little dot of land. It was blue, but still, it appeared to be an island! I swam and swam and swam, until I felt so exhausted I thought I might sink into the depths of the green water. I doggy-paddled my tired arms toward the island and finally my feet touched the something solid and crumbly. I stepped out of the water onto the blue sand. It wasn't like normal sand, it felt firm and when I picked it up it was like a cupcake, sort of crumbly but firm also. Where was I?
Chapter 1
I had just bought a bathtub that was painted gold. It was an old fashioned claw foot tub that workers had installed golden fixtures to. There were two faucets, the one on the left was the hot and the one on the right was cold. If you mixed them together you would eventually get something just right! There were some carvings on the front side of the bathtub. They looked similar to Egyptian hieroglyphics but somehow were unique. The bathtub was so golden it glittered and gleamed when the sunlight hit it just right. I was thinking of taking a bath early that day because I was so excited to try out my new bathtub but I realized I was completely out of soap. So I decided to make some soap from an old family recipe I had received from Grandmother, who got it from her Grandmother, who got it from her Grandmother, who . . .well it was really old. Oh! Sorry! My name is Lucy, I just wanted to share with you my very true, very amazing story. I'm 52 years old now but this story happened when I was 23. Sentence Classification
I finally learned how to classify all 8 parts of speech and it's the only part of language arts I really like, I guess writing isn't so bad but I really want to just write a book, my mom says I have a shot at being an author if I learn to write correctly. I wish I could write faster then I could keep up with my thoughts I want to write.

Three Point Time Order Expository Paragraph
My Favorite Ways of Travel
I have three favorite ways to travel. These ways are biking, walking, and running. First, I like to travel by biking. I love to pedal fast on my bike. Next, I like to walk. I love to look at the pretty scenery. Finally, I like to run. You can get somewhere very fast by running! All my favorite ways of travelling help exercise my body.
Book ReTell: Freckle Juice by Judy Blume
I recently read a library book called "Freckle Juice" by Judy Blume. "Freckle Juice" is about a boy named Andrew who wants freckles but doesn't know how to get them. A girl named Sharon told him that she had a secret recipe for freckle juice that would make sure he got freckles. At school Andrew gave Sharon fifty cents and in return she gave him the freckle juice recipe. He ran home and made the freckle juice and made a BIG MESS! He drank it and at that moment he felt very, very tired. He went to sleep and in the morning he was sick and his mom told him he had appendicitis. He was very very mad at Sharon because he was sick and still didn't have any freckles. When he went to school the next day he used a blue magic marker to put dots all over his face and body. The teacher at school gave him a special recipe to get rid of the freckles. "TURN ON WATER. WET MAGIC FRECKLE REMOVER AND RUB INTO FACE. RINSE. IF MAGIC FRECKLE REMOVER DOES NOT WORK FIRST TIME . . .TRY AGAIN. THREE TIMES SHOULD DO THE JOB. MISS KELLY" After Andrew got back in the classroom Nicky said to someone that she hated her freckles and Sharon heard her, she whispered to her that she had a secret recipe for removing freckles that had been in the family for years and she said she said she'd sell it to her for fifty cents. . .WHAT?! That is the crazy story of "Freckle Juice."
